Raymond E. Barth, 51, of Ottawa, Kansas died on Saturday, February 21, 2009. He was born on Monday, March 18, 1957, in New York. He was the son of Franklin L. and Edna (Christensen) Barth. He grew up in Kings Park, New York on Long Island. He lived in Fort Worth, Texas; Brazoria, Texas; Kenner, Louisiana; and Emporia, Kansas, moving to Ottawa in Franklin County, Kansas in 1992. Raymond graduated from Kings Park High School, Kings Park, New York. He attended Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York and Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, graduating in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed twenty-one years for Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Association. He was a member of The Agapé Christian Center, Royal Rangers Program, Church Worship Team, and coached Ottawa Mat Masters Wrestling. On October 31, 1981, Raymond was united in marriage with Sandra Pettit, in Fort Salonga, New York. She survives of their home. Survivors include: Wife-Sandra (Pettit) Barth of the home Daughter-Tiffany Barth & fiancé, Brett Hill, of Hutchinson, Kan. Son-Justin Barth of the home Son-Trevor Barth of the home Daughter-Angela Barth of the home Sister-Linda Muraski & husband, Franc, of Kings Park, N.Y. Brother-Richard Barth of ?, Ariz. Niece-Danielle Williams & husband, Michael, of Kings Park, N.Y. Nephew-David Dennihy of Las Vegas, Nev. He was preceded in death by: Father-Franklin L. Barth Mother-Edna (Christensen) Barth SERVICES: Funeral services will be held at The Agapé Christian Center, 3085 Marshall Rd., Ottawa, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2009. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Barth at the Dengel & Son Mortuary from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thursday. The family will meet with friends from 7:00 to 8:00 Thursday evening at The Agapé Christian Center. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorial contributions to The Agapé Christian Center or Barth Children’s Education Fund, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
