Randa Riesa Hopson Echeverria was born on December 30, 1987, to Winona Katherine Hopson Lindsey and W.T. Everett, a beautiful child of God. She attended Fairview Elementary as a youth, Oregon Trail Middle School, and graduated from Olathe Northwest High School in Olathe, KS. Randa then pursued higher education and attained her degree in Nursing from Johnson County Community College.
Randa was active and a bright light as a child, and that light continued to shine as she journeyed through life and young adulthood. To know her was to know joy, laughter, enduring love, and friendship. She embodied the meaning of selflessness throughout her walk on earth.
Randa enjoyed embracing and caring for others, fulfilling her job as a Certified Nurse Assistant at all times. Her last position was with Silverado Nursing Home, where she was highly regarded among staff and clients. She also loved to travel, shop, and live each day to the fullest.
Randa loved her mother, Noni, sister, Chanda, brother, William (Chill Bill), and her grandmothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews unconditionally. She also loved her four-legged sons, Medici and Precious, and her god dog, Buddy. Last but not least, she loved and was loved by her godmother, Valerie Coyazo (Madrina) and Debra, her godfather, Prentiss Shane (GF), and her best friends, Aliecia Staley, Sam Stone, Gobi, and all her Tias.
Randa was truly an exemplary daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, goddaughter, and friend. She never met a stranger, and all who met her loved her. Randa was a breath of fresh air. She will be truly missed by all; because of her, our lights will never dim.
She leaves to mourn her mother, Winona Katherine Hopson Lindsey; brother, William L. Adams (Olathe); sister, Chanda Mae Hopson-Byers (Olathe); stepfather, Paul Edward Hopson (Oklahoma); and a host of fraternal sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Randa was proceeded in death by W.T. Everett (Father), Paula Denise Hopson (Sister) and Denise Moore (Sister).
The family would like to express their deep gratitude and thanks to all for your support and condolences during this difficult time. Please continue to pray for us, and we will continue to pray for you.
