Ramona Nadean Taylor, 89, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022, at Rock Creek of Ottawa.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 14, 2022, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa.
Interment Ruhamah Cemetery, Rantoul.
Ramona was born June 12, 1933, in Lane, Kansas, the daughter of Claude Franklin and Cecel Naomi (Hay) Landess. She was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and attended Ottawa schools.
On September 29, 1973, Ramona was united in marriage to Lee Edward Taylor in Rantoul, Kansas. He preceded her in death on February 23, 2002.
She was a devoted homemaker and employed at Plattners Industries as an assembler for 14 years, retiring on June 3, 1986.
She was a member of the Ruhamah Baptist Church in Rantoul. Ramona loved to spend time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, walking, her pet cats, and taking short trips.
Survivors include two children, Lavonne Sharp of Ottawa, and Stephen Lunger and wife Pam also of Ottawa; five grandchildren, Jeremy Sharp of Ottawa, Christopher Sharp and wife Jessica of Vassar, Amanda Sharp (Bruce Juarez) of Omaha, Nebraska, Jenna Owings and husband Dylan of Ottawa, and Regan Grey and husband Nick also of Ottawa; eleven great grandchildren, Kylie, Gavin, Parker, Hunter, Mia, Esmeralda, Andy, Kyler, Callie, Crew, and Palmer; and siblings, Richard Landess and wife Pat of Osawatomie, Kansas, and Rosetta Weller of Wichita, Kansas.
