Ramona Lou Ball was born on Friday, September 30, 1949, in Ottawa, Kansas. She was the daughter of Robert and Betty Jean (Hulcy) Hubbard. Ramona lived in Branson, Missouri, and Wichita, Kansas. She lived most of her life in Franklin County, Kansas, until her death on Friday, April 27, 2007, at the age of fifty-seven years. Ramona attended Rantoul School and graduated from Central Heights High School in 1967, which was the school's first graduating class. She was a devoted and active member of Ruhamah Baptist Church in Rantoul, Kansas. She was employed as a night manager for Sam's Club in Grandview, Missouri, ten years. From 1996 to 1998, she was a vocalist and waitress for Roy Clark's Theater in Branson, Missouri. From 1982 to 1991, she was employed by Gill's Studios in Lenexa, Kansas, as a die cutter and machine operator. Ramona was foremost a dedicated homemaker. Ramona was a lovely person whose eyes just sparkled with God's love. She genuinely cared for everyone and always had a smile and a kind word to share. Ramona was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed giving gifts to her family and friends. She was also known for her beautiful voice, and many funerals and weddings were blessed with her songs. Ramona was united in marriage with Roger Ball in 1968 in Rantoul, Kansas. They were later divorced. In 1989, Ramona was united in marriage with David Anderson in Ottawa. They were later divorced. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Wade and Amy Ball of Ottawa, Jason and Kara Ball of Princeton, Nathan and Kelli Ball of Ottawa; daughter and son-in-law, Lora Jean and Craig Marker of Topeka; two sisters and brother-in-law, Juanita Simms of Rantoul, Helen and David Hood of Ottawa; brother and sister-in-law, Dusty and Teresa Hubbard of Rantoul; stepfather and his wife, Donald and Donna Meyer of Richter; and twelve grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Sonny Hubbard; and two sisters, Rosella Cox and Roberta Adcock. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Ottawa at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2007. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Ramona at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 12:00 noon on Tuesday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends 7 to 8:00 Tuesday evening.
