Ralph Pretz

Ralph J. Pretz age 82 of Osawatomie Kansas passed away March 23 at the Life Care Center of Osawatomie.(cremation) no services are planned. Arrangements by Penwell-Gabel Paola Chapel.(to leave condolences go to Penwell-Gabel.com.) Ralph was born on April 18, 1925 in Turner Kansas to Robert and Lottie Guinn Pretz. He attended the Turner High School and later enlisted in the United States Navy, and was involved in all major invasions during WWII. After the service he was united in marriage to Jean M. Justice in Bentonville, Arkansas on June 29, 1949. He has worked for International Harvester, Behm and Taylor Forge Corporation as a tool storage clerk, was a roofer, and farmed his own farm. Ralph enjoyed farming raising cattle, working on antique tractors, gardening, the outdoors, and reading Western Books. He and his wife moved to Osawatomie in 1967 from the Olathe area. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother. Surviving Ralph is his wife Jean of the home, son Ralph Pretz Jr. of Osawatomie, daughter, Brenda Day of Lane, daughter, Lenora Antwine of Mesa Arizona, five grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
