RESIDENCE HISTORY: He was a lifelong Franklin County, Kansas resident. OCCUPATION & BUSINESS: Ralph started farming at an early age. During World War II, he worked at Sunflower Ammunition Plant in DeSoto. He was an automobile mechanic for George Royer Garage and Mock Motors, in Ottawa. In 1949, he became employed with Cities Service Gas Company in Ottawa, retiring in 1980. MEMBERSHIPS: He was a former member of Tauy Baptist Church, Franklin County, Kansas. MARRIAGE: On December 7, 1940, Ralph was united in marriage with Frances Nevalee VanValkenburg at Paola, Kansas. She preceded him in death on June 30, 1998. On October 8, 2000, Ralph was united in marriage with Nona Lee Johnson at Miami, Oklahoma. She survives of the home. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2003. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Rev. Dan Everly. IN STATE: Mr. Hartpence will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 5:00 p.m. Friday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends 6 to 7:00 Sunday evening. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to Franklin County Cancer Foundation or Midland Hospice, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
