RESIDENCE HISTORY: Ralph grew up in the Waverly and Princeton areas and has made his home in Ottawa since 1946. EDUCATION: He attended school in Waverly and Princeton, graduating from Princeton High School with the Class of 1943. OCCUPATION & BUSINESS: Ralph worked as a construction worker for thirty-five years, working on commercial and heavy construction in the Lawrence and Kansas City areas from 1951 until his retirement in June of 1986. GOVERNMENT SERVICE: Ralph served in the US Army during World War II from February 13, 1945 until October 28, 1946, reaching the rank of Corporal. MARRIAGE: On January 20, 1945, Ralph was united in marriage with Betty Jean Pearce at Ottawa, Ks. She survives of the home. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from Dengel & Son Mortuary 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 25, 2004. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Rev. Clyde Greisen. IN STATE: Mr. Horne will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Dengel & Son Mortuary to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends 7 to 8:00 Thursday evening. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to Bea Martin Peck Animal Shelter or American Lung Association, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
