Rachel Faye Servaes

Faye Servaes, 85 ,of Pomona, Kansas died on Thursday, September 14, 2006 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka, Kansas. She was the daughter of Charles and Geneva (Russell) MundyShe was born on Tuesday, May 24, 1921, in Williamsburg, Kansas. She was a lifelong resident of Franklin County, Kansas. She has lived in Pomona since 1937, moving from Ottawa. She was a homemaker. Also, from 1951 to 1956, she operated Pomona Cafe with her husband; early 1960`s, was employed as an inspector for H.D. Lee in Ottawa; and mid 1960`s to early 1970`s, was head cook for Pomona Elementary School. She was a member of Pomona United Methodist Church and former member of Pomona Rebecca`s. On January 8, 1936, Faye was united in marriage with Ernest F. Servaes in Ottawa, Kansas. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2004. Survivors include: Daughter & son-in-law-Connie & Leonard Hoopes of Ottawa, Kan. Daughter & son-in-law-Vickie & Jim Shaw of Ottawa, Kan. Son & daughter-in-law-Danny & Linda Servaes of Pomona, Kan. Sister-Lois M. Wallace of Lawrence, Kan. Grandchildren-Eight Gt. Grandchildren-Seventeen Gt.Gt. Grandchildren-One She was preceded in death by: Husband-Ernest F. Servaes Father-Charles F. Mundy Mother-Geneva M. (Russell) Mundy Sister-Doris Mundy Brother-Sheldon L. Mundy SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 18, 2006. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Servaes at the Dengel & Son Mortuary from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and after 8:00 a.m. Monday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends 4 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday.
