RESIDENCE HISTORY: Phyllis grew up and lived in Franklin County for most of her life, before moving into Ottawa in 1957. EDUCATION: She attended Ottawa High School. OCCUPATION & BUSINESS: Phyllis was a homemaker. She also worked as an assembler at King Radio in Ottawa, from 1972 until retiring in 1996. MEMBERSHIPS: She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ottawa. She was a former member of Methodist Church of Osawatomie, where she taught Sunday School and worked in the Church Nursery for many years. She was also a former project leader for Town & County 4-H Club. MARRIAGE: On February 1, 1953, Phyllis was united in marriage with Robert Burney `Bob` Hollon at Ottawa. He preceded her in death July 23, 2003. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2004. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Pastor Richard Dunn. IN STATE: Mrs. Hollon will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary from 5:00 p.m. Friday until the service hour, where the family will meet with friends 7 to 8:00 Friday evening. CEMETERY: Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, Kansas. MEMORIALS: Memorial contributions may be made to Phyllis Hollon Memorial Fund, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
