Phillip E. Piersol, 73, of Williamsburg, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at the Life Care Center of Burlington. Cremation is planned. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 4, 2019 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Williamsburg. Phil was born September 22, 1946 in Ottawa, Kansas, the son of Evan E. and Grace C. (Ferguson) Piersol. He was a lifelong Williamsburg resident. He graduated from Williamsburg High School with the class of 1964. On November 13, 1965, Phillip was united in marriage to Patricia A. Chambers at the Emerald community St. Patrick’s Church in Williamsburg. Survivors include his wife of nearly fifty-four years, Patricia of the home; four children, Jeff (Pattie) Piersol of Vassar, Brian (Amy) Piersol of Williamsburg, Cindy (Kipper) Lewis of Williamsburg, and Christi (Chris) Crowley also of Williamsburg; nine grandchildren, Jessica (Chad) VandeVelde, Kylee Piersol and Van-Ryan Belanger, Evan Piersol and fiancé Nikki Reitan, McKenzie Lewis, Hunter Lewis, Chance Crowley, Cache Crowley, Cayla Crowley and Reid Piersol; two great grandchildren, Olivia and Grayson VandeVelde; and sister-in-law, Linda Chambers of McPherson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evan and Grace Piersol. Phil was a hard-working, lifelong farmer/stockman. He was a former member of St. Patrick’s Church, Emerald. Phil was an outdoorsman and avid hunter of coyotes and coons. Above all, he loved his family and the time they spent together.
