Peter Mark Rearick, age 56, of Louisburg, Ks. died December 26, 2008 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo. He was born April 30, 1952 at Morristown, New Jersey, the son of John Shaw and Marie Marshall Rearick. He was united in marriage to Donna Schultz in September of 1970. They had 1 daughter Dianna born September of 1971. He graduated from Southwest High School in 1970. Peter joined the United States Air Force in April of 1972 & was stationed at Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming. While in the Air Force he was a plumbing specialist and continued plumbing after his honorable discharge in 1977. After leaving the Air Force the family moved to Belton, Mo. and in 1980 moved to Belleville, Texas. After 6 " years he moved his family to Louisburg, Ks. where they continue to live. In 1994 he started work at the Kansas City VA Medical Center where he worked until becoming ill on Nov. 10, 2008. While there Pete earned numerous awards and honors for his work including "Man of the Year". He was a licensed plumber in Missouri & Texas and a member of the Plumbers Union in Texas. He was a member of the American Legion as well as the American Federation of Government Employees. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Donna, of the home; 1 daughter, Dianna Lovelace and son-in-law Wes of the home; 3 brothers, John Rearick, Houston, Tx; twin brother Allan Rearick, Belton, Mo.; and Paul Rearick, New Orleans, La.; 1 granddaughter, Deanna Schofield and 3 grandsons, Anthony Schofield, Micah Wilson and Jacob Lovelace. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Penwell " Gabel Louisburg Chapel. Visitation 6:00 " 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2008 at the chapel. Burial with Military Honors at the Louisburg Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the St. Joseph Medical Center I.C.U. Auxiliary Sleeping Rooms.
