Pedro R. Neave

Pedro Ramirez Neave, 66, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016, at his home in Ottawa, Kansas, with his family by his side. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 2, 2016, at Sacred Heart Church, Ottawa. A rosary will be said at 6:30 P.M., Thursday, September 1, 2016, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, followed by a family and friends visitation at 7:00 P.M. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pedro was born Friday, September 2, 1949, in San Agustin de Melilla, Zacatecas Mexico, the son of Melecio and Francisca (Ramirez) Neave. He has been a resident of Ottawa since 1976, moving from Mexico. Pedro was united in marriage to Juanita Meza August 14, 1984 in Ottawa. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his son, Peter A. Neave of Ottawa; brothers, Emilio Neave and wife Emma of Ottawa, Gonzalo Neave of California, and an additional brother of Mexico; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melecio and Francisca Neave. Pedro was a laborer working in landscaping for Willis Nursery of Ottawa and later for Suburban Lawn & Garden of Edgerton, retiring December 2015. Pedro enjoyed gardening, listening to music, and watching old western movies. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and pets.
