Pearl M. Morley, 100, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 19, 2007 at her home in Springfield, NJ. Pearl, the youngest child of James and Sarah Delphine (Hay) Moore, was born October 27, 1907 in Ottawa, Kansas where she resided until 1928 when she met Lyle D. Morley. They married on February 5, 1928, in Denver, Colorado. Pearl accompanied her husband as he rose through the ranks of F. W. Woolworth Corporation. Pearl lived in South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Chicago, Illinois, finally settling in Springfield, NJ in l958. Pearl was a prolific reader who also enjoyed bird watching and was a 62 year member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Lyle D. Morley, her brother Franklin Earl Moore and two sisters, Clara Finch and Bessie Denni. She is survived by several nieces, including Martha Dorrell of Garnett, Kansas and Maxine Moore of Ottawa, Kansas, many grand nieces and grand nephews and her longtime caregiver, Maria Pereira of Elizabeth, NJ. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from First Christian Church, Ottawa, Kansas at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2007. The casket will be closed. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas.
