Pauline May Fuqua, age 92, of Stilwell, KS, passed away on January 18, 2017 at the Lutheran Good Shepard Nursing Home, Concordia, MO. She was born on May 18, 1924 in Tuscumbia, MO, the daughter of Gail Edward and Ada Henrietta (Melton) Wyrick. She was united in marriage to Ernest P. Fuqua on February 26, 1942. Pauline worked many years caring for children in her home. The children that she cared for were loved like her own grandchildren. She made many dolls that looked like the Cabbage Patch Kid doll. She loved to crochet, making many doll blankets and baby blankets for friends and family. She was a member of the Monticello Gospel Assembly Church, Lenexa, KS. Pauline passed away with loving family and caring nurses by her side. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernest, one daughter, Carolyn Moore, one son, Ernest G. Fuqua, one grandson, Ernest R. Fuqua, three brothers, Gaylord Wyrick, Joe Wyrick and James Wyrick, and one sister, Vivian Stanton. Survivors include two sons, Downey (Irene) Fuqua and Larry Fuqua; one daughter, Linda (Randy) Harmon; 18 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; one sister, Norma Winters; one brother, Robert Wyrick; daughter-in-law, Ruth Fuqua and son-in-law Bobby Moore. The family suggests contributions to the Lutheran Good Shepard Nursing Home.
