Pauline Joyce Turner

Pauline Joyce Turner was born on Saturday, July 1, 1944, in Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas. She was the daughter of Jack and Violet (Latimer) Wills. Pauline lived in Ottawa until 1977. She also lived in Pleasanton; Emporia from 1984 to 1987; Manhattan 1985 to 1987; and Topeka 1987 to 1994. She moved to Ozawkie, in Jefferson County, Kansas in 1994, where she made her home until her death on Monday, March 26, 2007, at the age of sixty-two years. Pauline graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1962. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her many homemaking skills. She was such a caring lady and so devoted to her family. She especially liked to cook for their family gatherings and had so much fun with her grandchildren. On May 29, 1964, Pauline was united in marriage with Jerry Lee Turner in Ottawa, Kansas. He preceded her in death on September 4, 2003. She is also preceded in death by her parents; son, Terry Lee Turner; and brother, John Lee Wills. Mrs. Turner is survived by two daughters, Tammy Achten and her fianc', Steve, of Ozawkie, Krystina Turner and her fianc', Jonathan, of Ozawkie; daughter-in-law, Charmin Turner of Topeka, Kansas; brother and sister-in-law, Robert 'Bud' and Carol Wills of Pomona, Kansas; sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Doug King of North Carolina; five grandchildren, Tori Turner, Ciara Turner, Jessica Turner, Joshua Baggett, Christian James Cook-Furst; nieces and nephew. SERVICES: Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Highland Cemetery on Friday, March 30, 2007. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Turner at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 1:00 p.m. Thursday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends 7 to 8:00 Thursday evening. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery in Ottawa, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to Pauline Turner Memorial Fund, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
