Paul W. Allen

Paul W. Allen, age 55, of Lawrence, Kansas, died Friday, August 21, 2009. He was born on Saturday, August 21, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son of William Ira Allen, Sr. and Ruby Ellen (Paxton) Allen. He grew up in Wellsville, Kansas, later living in Ottawa prior to moving to Lawrence in 1997. Paul graduated from Wellsville High School with the class of 1972. On April 24, 1975, Paul was united in marriage with Rhonda Shields in Richmond, Kansas. They were later divorced. He worked for Bones Trucking in Ottawa as a dispatcher for five years. He is survived by: Daughter-Stacey Allen & her husband, Patrick Hayes, of Ottawa, KS; Son-Clint Allen of Princeton, KS; Son-Ben Allen of Lawrence, KS; Brother-William Ira Allen, Jr. of Linwood, KS; Several- Aunts & Uncles. He was preceded in death by: Father-William Ira Allen, Sr. Mother-Ruby Ellen (Paxton) Allen VISITATION: Cremation is planned. Family will meet with friends from 7:00 to 8:00 Thursday evening at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa.
