Paul D. Moore, 78, of Williamsburg, Kansas, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Family will meet with friends from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 3, 2016, at the mortuary. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Williamsburg, Kansas. Paul was born Saturday, May 14, 1938, in Marmaduke, Arkansas, the son of Marvin and Ruby (Ray) Moore. He lived in Detroit, Michigan, moving to Williamsburg, where he made his home for forty years. He graduated from high school with the class of 1963. General Motors Basic Hydraulics February 21, 1969 and General Motors UAW Machine Repair October 13, 1969. Paul served in the United States Navy from February 1956 to May 1959. Paul was united in marriage to Betty Ellen Hedrick May 29, 1964, in Flat Rock, Michigan. She preceded him in death on December 1, 2012. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Ruby Moore; daughter, Chanoy Moore; 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Harabin and fiancé Jack Grimes of Williamsburg; granddaughter, Alexandra Chadwick and husband Jake of Spring Hill; and two great-grandchildren, Andrew Eli Chadwick and Elliot Nicholas Chadwick both of Spring Hill. He was employed with Delco Battery in machine repair from April 1973 to his retirement after 26 years of service in January 1999. Paul enjoyed working outside, family and traveling.
