Patty Ann Watts

Patty Ann Watts, 88, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023, at Rock Creek of Ottawa, Ottawa, Kansas.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 15, 2023, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. The family will meet friends from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., Sunday, May 14, 2023, at the mortuary.

Interment Wellsville Cemetery, Wellsville, Kansas.

Patty was born Monday, October 8, 1934, in LeLoup, Kansas, the daughter of Charles and Clara (Barnett) O’Connor.

She lived in LeLoup for eighteen years before moving to the Ottawa/Centropolis area in the early 1950’s.

Patty graduated from Wellsville High School with the class of 1953.

She was united in marriage with Floyd Watts in Centropolis, Kansas, on May 22, 1954. He survives of the home.

Patty worked in Ottawa as a salesclerk for J.C. Penney’s, a sales representative for Southwestern Bell, and a salesclerk for Budge’s Hardware.

She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, Ottawa, Kansas. Patty enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, and activities in her religion. She especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Clara; son, Douglas Watts; brothers, Ralph “Jeff” O’Connor, Wayne O’Connor, Gene “Joe” O’Connor, Charles O’Conner, Jr.; sisters, Cloris Smith, Shirl Loftus; and grandson, Kevin Watts.

Survivors include husband, Floyd Watts; son, Raymond Watts (Diane) of Ottawa; sister, Louise O’Neil of Williamsburg, Kansas; grandchildren, Erica Herzog (Jake) of Ottawa, Ryan Watts (Sheri) of Ottawa, Mandy Stoy (Brad) of Garnett, Colton Egger (Monica) of Garnett; and ten great grandchildren.
