Patsy Cox

Patsy Lou Cox, age 74, of Osawatomie, passed away Monday, October 12 at her home. She was born on August 15, 1941 in Miami, Oklahoma, to Donald Russell and Florine Mattie Warton Vanderpool. She was married to Levi Cox in 1960 until his passing in 1982. She was a homemaker and mother of 4 children. Patsy worked for several years in the laundry department at several nursing homes. Patsy loved spending time with kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She loved being outdoors; gardening and tending to her flowers which she had many. She also liked watching birds and had lots of bird feeders to tend to. And almost everyone knows about her enormous hoot owl collection. Patsy loved about anything outdoors; she loved to go fishing whenever she could. She like watching or just listening to the St. Louis Cardinals baseball games. Patsy was greatly loved and will be missed by many. Survivors are her children, daughter Sonia Spruill, and sons Mike, William and Allen Cox, sisters Ruby Ward and Donna Gates, brothers, Donald, Jack, Eugene, David, and Clint Vanderpool, 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
