Patricia Sue Huffman

Patricia Sue (Burt) Huffman, 78, of Lane, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at Richmond Healthcare & Rehabilitation. Cremation is planned. No service will be held now. A celebration of life will be held in the future. Patricia was born Friday, June 23, 1939 in Uniontown, Kansas, the daughter of Julia G. (Abbott) and V. L. Burt. She lived in Olathe, Kansas moving to Lane, where she made her home until her death. She attended Klamath Union High School in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Patricia was united in marriage to John Huffman March 30, 1957, in Carson City, Nevada. He survives of the home. Other survivors include her two children, Gary Huffman and partner Wendy Sawvel of Lane, and Victoria Klingenberg and husband Yancey of Osawatomie; sister Jayne Schlenker and husband Mark of Princeton; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Terry Burt and Gary Wayne Burt. Patricia was employed as a bookkeeper for the Medical Lodge in Paola. Patricia loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and traveling.
