Patricia "Patty" Marie Hollon-Markley

Patricia Marie “Patty” Hollon-Markley, age 69, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Friday, January 28, 2011, at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Kansas. She was born on Monday September 15, 1941, in Ottawa, the daughter of James Earnest Hollon and Betty Jean (Caleb) Hollon. She was a lifelong Ottawa resident. Patty attended Ottawa schools. Patty was a lifelong homemaker. She also worked for King Radio from 1974 to 1984, as well as co-owned with her husband, George, Maple Leaf Motel in Baldwin City from 1984 to 1989. Patty also sold Avon products for many years. On August 30, 1957, Patty was united in marriage with George Markley at Centropolis Baptist Church, Centropolis, Kansas. He survives of the home. She is also survived by; Son,Kevin L. Markley and his wife, Lori, of Baldwin City, Kansas;Son, Keith L. Markley and his wife, Amy Feuerborn, of Ottawa, Kansas ;Son, Kenton L. Markley and his wife, Shelly, of Ottawa, Kansas ;Son,Shawn D. Markley and his wife, Kimberly, of Ottawa, Kansas ;Sister,Clio Elrod and her husband, Roger, of Pomona, Kansas ;Sister,Grace Wertenberger and her husband, Don, of Hays, Kansas. ;Grandchildren,Taran Bulmer, Kile Markley, Cole Markley, Cody Markley, Cassidy Markley, McKinley Markley, Amberly Markley, Adrianna Markley, Drake Markley, and Mya Markley. ;Great Grandchild,Boston Bulmer, son of Rick and Taran Bulmer She is preceded in death by her parents, James Earnest Hollon and Betty Jean (Caleb) Hollon ;Brother,James Hollon and Brother,Richard Hollon SERVICES: Celebration of Life Services will be held at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2011. IN-STATE: Mrs. Markley will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends from 7:00 to 8:00 Tuesday evening.
