Patricia "Pat" Griffin

Patricia Ann “Pat” Griffin, age 73, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Saturday, March 12, 2011, at Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas. She was born on Sunday, July 18, 1937, in Osage City, Kansas. She was the daughter of Edward Donald and Marion Jennie (Vanderslice) DeCock. She was a near lifelong Ottawa resident, moving as a child from Osage County near Lyndon. Pat attended Ottawa schools. She worked more than thirty-five years as a nurse’s aide for Cedar House Nursing Home and Ottawa Retirement Village, both of Ottawa, retiring in 2001. She was of the Methodist faith. On Friday, March 16, 1956, Pat was united in marriage with Rex Herbert Griffin in Harrisonville, Missouri. They celebrated fifty-five years together. He survives of their home. She is also survived by her: Son-David Griffin and his wife, Shirley, of Ottawa, Kansas; Son-Teddy Griffin and his wife, Linda, of Ottawa, Kansas; Son-Jerry Griffin of Ottawa, Kansas; Daughter-Cynthia Wolf of Ottawa, Kansas; Brother-Donald DeCock and his wife, Shirley, of Ottawa, Kansas; Brother-Alfred DeCock and his wife, Linda, of Texas; Sister-Leona English and her husband, Robert, of Ottawa, Kansas; Sister-Diana Brannan and her husband, Paul, of Ottawa, Kansas; Sister-Rosemary Ledom and her husband, Pete, of Peoria, Kansas; Twenty-Grandchildren and Forty-Gt.Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her: Parents-Edward Donald and Marion Jennie DeCock; Son-Stephen Griffin in 1987; Granddaughter-Satrina Collins and Gt.Granddaughter-Lindsay Griffin.
