Patricia L. Collins

Patricia L. Collins, 81, of Ottawa, passed away Friday, November 8, 2019, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Family will meet with friends one hour prior to service at 1:00 P.M. Interment Highland Cemetery, Ottawa. Pat was born September 29, 1938, in Hartville, Missouri, the daughter of Roscoe Lee and Drewcilla (Maynier) Duncan. She was raised in Kansas City living in various locations throughout her life. In 1962, Pat moved to Ottawa where she made her home until her death. On December 17, 1959 Pat was united in marriage to Leonard F. “Buck” Collins in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 2, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her son, Leonard “Lenn” Collins of Ottawa; three grandchildren, Isaac Collins of Ottawa, Jordan Murray and husband Reginald Jr. of Kansas City, Kansas and Aaron Collins of Atlanta, Georgia; four great grandchildren, Jaden Collins, JaeLeigh Murray, Reginald Murray III, and Xavier Collins; and best friend, Delores Fuller of Lawrence. Pat was a devoted lifelong homemaker. In earlier years she held various positions working as a window trimmer, elevator operator, waitress, shipping clerk, and at Luce Luggage Manufacturing. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and best friend, Delores Fuller. Pat enjoyed shopping, cooking, going to the boats, and ceramics. Pat will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
