Patricia Carolyn Tyler was born July 29, 1940, at Ottawa, in Franklin County, Kansas. She was the daughter of Rex and Arcile (Donaldson) Zerbe. Mrs. Tyler grew up in Ottawa, moving to Springfield, Missouri in 1970, and returning to Ottawa in 1981. She recently moved to Pomona, Kansas, where she made her home until her death Tuesday, November 26, 2002, at the age of sixty-two years. She was presently a floral designer and part owner of Ottawa Floral. Since 1998, she was also bartender at the 700 Club in Pomona. As a child, she attended the Methodist Church. She was a member of the 700 Club in Pomona and Aerie Lodge #2700, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, Ottawa. Patricia was a go-getter, always doing something, from arranging flowers, painting, and going to garage sales, to driving around and going to the lake, which she loved doing. She was always ready to help her family or friends. She enjoyed working at the 700 Club, mainly because it gave her a chance to make even more friends. Patricia loved the flower shop, and did everything she could to make sure Jeri was successful. Jeri, Richard, and her grandchildren always came first in her life. She was a very caring person, always thinking of everyone else rather than herself. When she was diagnosed with her illness, she wanted everyone to stay positive and think happy thoughts. Patricia was united in marriage with Jerry Kiefer. They were later divorced. She was united in marriage with Albert Tyler. He preceded her in death in 1993. She is survived by her companion, Richard Stoneking of Pomona; son, Richard Kiefer of Williamsburg; daughter, Jeri 'Sis' Kiefer of Ottawa; two stepbrothers; five grandchildren, Jeremiah Fredricks, Carmen Kiefer, Ricky Kiefer, Kathy Kiefer, Tyler Fredricks, all of Ottawa; and, great-grandson, Christopher Baber of Ottawa.
