Patricia Ann Stoffer

Patricia Ann Stoffer was born on Sunday, December 31, 1933, in Quenemo, Kansas. She was the daughter of Jack Nathaniel and Ruth Roena May (Fanning) Hamilton. Patricia grew up in Quenemo, and also lived around Lebo, Waverly and Burlington, all in Kansas. She also lived in New Mexico and Texas and around Drexel, Missouri, until moving to Olathe, Kansas, in 1989, where she made her home until her death on Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at the age of seventy-four years. She graduated from Waverly High School in Waverly, Kansas, with the class of 1952. Patricia worked fifteen and a half years as a clerk for K-Mart, retiring on February 15, 1992. Patricia was an outgoing, loving person who greatly enjoyed her family and grandchildren and visiting with her many friends. She enjoyed going shopping, adding frogs to her collection, and creating craft items. She also enjoyed playing cards and games and liked to go fishing. On December 22, 1952, Patricia was united in marriage with Muriel D. Stoffer in Bentonville, Arkansas. He preceded her in death April 13, 1988. She is also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Delores McNulty, Charlotte Baker; and brother, Jack L. Hamilton. Mrs. Stoffer is survived by four sons, Bert Stoffer of Louisburg, Kansas, M. David Stoffer and his wife, Lucy, of Ozawkie, Kansas, Jack L. Stoffer and his wife, Patricia, of Edgerton, Kansas, F. Thomas Stoffer and his wife, Gayla, of Louisburg, Kansas; two sisters, Grace Phillips and her companion, Hoss Cowan, of Dallas, Texas, Thelma Robinson and her husband, Charles, of Garland, Texas; twenty-two grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. SERVICES: Funeral Services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2008. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Patricia at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 9:00 a.m. Friday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends from 6:30 to 7:30 Friday evening. CEMETERY: Evergreen Mound Cemetery, Franklin County, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to Franklin County Diabetes Association, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary 235 S. Hickory in Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
