Patricia Ann Schmid

Patricia Ann Schmid, 78, of Louisburg, KS passed away on September 23, 2017 at Richmond Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Richmond, KS. Patricia was born at Wagstaff, KS, the daughter of Ruby Little. She was united in marriage to Robert (Bob) Schmid on October 6, 1956. When Patty was two years old she moved to the family farm that her and her husband later purchased and they lived there for many years. She graduated from Louisburg High School with the class of 1956. She was an Adult Education teacher and counselor in Paola, KS. Patty was a member of the Antioch Community Baptist Church, Spring Hill, KS and National Woman’s Republican Committee. She became an ordained minister several years ago and loved sharing the gospel with the many people she touched. She was a loving wife and mother and will be missed by many family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and one son, Robert P. Schmid, JR. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Bob, one daughter, Krista (Scott) Lee, daughter-in-law, Cindy Schmid; six grandchildren, Sara (J.W) Richards, Taylor (Lindsay) Schmid, Christopher Lee, Charleen Linder, Veronica Lee and Bradley (Michaela) Lee; and eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, 406 S. Vine Street, Louisburg, KS. The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the church. Burial will be in the Wagstaff Cemetery, Paola, KS The family suggest contributions to Antioch Community Baptist Church.
