Pansy Grunden

Pansy May Grunden, age 88, from Osawatomie,KS. passed away March 4,2009, at the Osawatomie Life Care Center. Services are graveside, Monday, March 9, 11:00 AM, at the Evergreen Cemetery, in Ft. Scott, KS. Memorials to the Osawatomie Christian Church and or Miami County 4H. Pansy was born March 16, 1920, in Wise, MO., to William George and Mary Indiana Harmon Fray. She grew up in the Sheldon, MO. area, where she graduated from high school. On April 10, 1943, Pansy was united in marriage to Warren Grunden, in Girard, KS. She moved to Osawatomie, KS. in 1950. Pansy, was a homemaker and worked for 14 years at the Osawatomie State Hospital, where she was an activity therapist, and retired in 1981. She enjoyed sewing, baking, walking, visiting with her neighbors, and specially enjoyed helping people in need. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, 2 brothers; Jack and Wayne Fray, and 3 sisters; Dawn Snow, Mary Gardner, and Ardith Wolfenbarger Survivors are her daughter Brenda and her husband Ronald Stringham, of Osawatomie, KS., grandson; Ian and wife Kimberly Stringham, of Osawatomie, KS., and sister, Evelyn Clemmons of Raytown MO. and many nieces and nephews.
