Ottis Clinkscale

Ottis L. Clinkscale, 61 of Paola, Kansas passed away January 24, 2011 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Paola Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 28 from 6:00 " 8:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Paola. Ottis was born August 18, 1949 in Morrilton, Arkansas to Orid and Leoler Perry Thomas Clinkscale. He graduated from Morrilton High School and went on to work for the Union Pacific Railroad. On May 30, 2000 he was united in marriage to Erma Bassett Rickey; she survives of the home. He truly enjoyed the outdoors and loved to fish and hunt and watch "48 Hours Mystery" and westerns on tv. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, John Clinkscale. Survivors include his wife, Erma Clinkscale; daughter, Opal Clinkscale; step-son, Chadwick Rickey; half-brother, Anthony Perry; and step-sister, Carolyn Faye and sister Pam Perry; all of whom will miss him greatly. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas City Hospice House.
