Orville E. Flager, 95, of Ottawa, passed away, Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Advent Health of Ottawa. Private family graveside services will be held. Inurnment Greenwood Cemetery, Franklin County, Kansas. Orville was born Sunday, April 5, 1925 in Yale, Oklahoma, the son of Marion E. and Ella (Launer) Flager. He was a lifelong Franklin County resident. Orville graduated from Pomona High School with the class of 1943. He was united in marriage to Beverly Jo Ellison November 5, 1945. She survives of the home. Other survivors include two children, Daryl L. Flager (Ginger) of Ottawa; Cathie Thompson (Richard) of Olathe; four grandchildren; Will Thompson (Jessica) of Lenexa, Amy Stover (Matt) of Olathe, Emily Kares (Ryan), Matthew Flager all of Gardner; 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Floyd Flager and two sisters, Fern Andrews and Leatha Adler. Orville was a lifelong stockman and worked as a welder for Kalmar Ottawa formally Ottawa Truck in the 1960’s and 70’s. He was a member of the Kansas Wildflower Society and Pomona Odd Fellows. Orville enjoyed working cattle, woodworking and making furniture for his family. The family suggests memorial contributions to Hope House c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
