Orville E. Cearfoss, 78, of Topeka, Kansas died on Thursday, November 13, 2008, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka, Kansas. He was born on Tuesday, December 31, 1929, in Centropolis, Kansas.He was the son of Issac and Frances (Clark) Cearfoss. He grew up in Centropolis, moving to Lawrence in 1954 and Topeka in 1989. Orville graduated from Appanoose High School with the class of 1948. He was employed as a production worker for Farmland Industries from 1954 to 1989. He served as a PFC in the United States Army from July 22, 1952 to June 30, 1954, during the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post #58. On July 15, 1961, Orville was united in marriage with Ruth Anna McCullough in Miami, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on July 15, 2005. Survivors include: Brother-Darrell R. Cearfoss & his wife, Mary, of Ottawa, Kan. Niece-Janet Huddlestun of Ottawa, Kan. Niece-Diane Mankin of Cincinnati, Ohio Niece-Lynda Leazure of Texas He was preceded in death by: Father-Issac Cearfoss Mother-Frances (Clark) Cearfoss Wife-Ruth Anna (McCullough) Cearfoss Brother-Alden 'Ike' Cearfoss SERVICES: Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2008, at Union Cemetery in Centropolis. IN STATE: Cremation is planned. CEMETERY: Union Cemetery in Centropolis, Kansas.
