Opal Fredda With was born April 27, 1944, at Ottawa, in Franklin County, Kansas. She was the daughter of Harry Edward and Ina Bertha (Camp) Reekie. A longtime Franklin County, Kansas resident, she lived in Williamsburg for six years, moving to Vassar over a year ago, where she made her home until her death Thursday, February 20, 2003, at the age of fifty-eight years. Opal attended Greenwood Grade School and graduated from Pomona High School with the class of 1962. She was a working mother and homemaker but had been disabled for the past thirteen years. Opal and Dan always enjoyed dancing. Also, camping was one of their pastimes. One of their favorite places was Pomona Lake. However, most important in Opal's life was her family. She treasured the time she spent with her family, especially, her grandchildren. On October 24, 1964, Opal was united in marriage with Daniel E. With at Ottawa, Kansas. He survives of their home. She is also survived by two daughters, Tina Harris and her husband, J. R., of Williamsburg, Kansas, Nichole Storck of Ottawa, Kansas; son, Howard With of Vassar, Kansas; three sisters, Leona Priddy of Ottawa, Kansas, Zelda Gifford and her husband, Keith, of Waverly, Kansas, Dorothy Ware of Augusta, Kansas; brother, Carl Reekie and his wife, Lou, of Mulvane, Kansas; and, many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Tyler Storck. SERVICES: Memorial services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2003. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Rev. Charlotte Raby. IN STATE: Mrs. With has been cremated. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. Sunday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends 7 to 8:00 Monday evening. CEMETERY: Greenwood Cemetery, Franklin County, Kansas.
