Olive Delores Whitaker was born on Sunday, September 5, 1926, in Lawrence, Kansas. She was the daughter of C. Lester and Myrtle Carrie (Schultz) Cummickel. Olive was raised in Topeka, Kansas, moving to Ottawa, to be closer to her sister, nieces and nephews, on November 1, 2004, where she made her home until her death on Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at the age of eighty years. Olive graduated from Topeka High School with the class of 1944, and Lighthouse of International Four Square Evangelism on June 24, 1948. She was licensed to preach on June 27, 1948. Olive worked at Paltierr's Department Store in Topeka before going to work for the State of Kansas Department of Transportation on February 14, 1977. She retired from there on August 17, 1988, to help her husband, Dale, with his business. They also enjoyed traveling together. Her Christian work at Foursquare Gospel Church and The Light of the World Church in Topeka was a very important part of her life. On March 1, 1974, Olive was united in marriage with Francis
