Norman Daniel Devin

January 26, 1952 — May 7, 2021

Norman Daniel Devin, 69, of Pomona, passed away, Friday, May 7, 2021 at his home. A private family graveside service is planned at Woodlawn Cemetery. Norman was born on Saturday, January 26, 1952 in Ottawa Kansas, the son of Bron and Vivian (Watts) Devin. He was a lifelong Pomona area resident. Norman graduated from Pomona High School with the class of 1970 and attended Emporia State University. Norman was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Linda Devin and Nancy (Devin) Ferguson; brother- in-law, Edward Ferguson and his beloved son Nicholas Daniel Devin. Survivors include his daughter, Dana Devin; grandchildren, Crayton Holman, (Norman’s shooting buddy), Nolan, Nathan, Nicole, Nicolas (Nicy), Noelle, Nevaeh and Nevadda Devin; brothers, Dennis Devin (Stella) of Quenemo, Kansas and Dale Devin (Jennifer) of Michigan Valley, Kansas. He was a local 101 heavy equipment/crane operator out of Kansas City, Missouri until his retirement. His children always enjoyed knowing that when they came across a bridge or racetrack that their dad helped build it. Norman was a Harley rider way before it was cool, and the family car was a Harley. He was one of a kind and had the best one-liners. Norman gave his kids the biggest stress, but also the biggest love. Norman loved beer and it better not be anything light. The family takes comfort that Norman and his son Nich are riding Harleys and drinking a beer together again.
