Norma Mae Washington was born December 14, 1939, to Thelma Lindsay and Lester Lindsay, Sr. of Paola, Kansas.
Norma attended Paola High School where she received her High School Diploma. She went on to work at Osawatomie State Hospital as a Licensed Medical Technician, Level 4. Norma worked there for 36 years where she eventually retired from. If you knew Norma, then you were aware of how much she loved Garage Selling!
She engaged in spending time with God, she liked to write in her journals about her daily adventures and she loved visits from her family! Anyone that met Norma was touched by her kind words.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, mother, three brothers; Lester Jr, Butch, and Lonnie Lindsay.
Norma was married to Aubrey Washington for 60+ years. They shared two loving daughters together, Audrey Harris and Fonda (Larry) Phillips who shared 11 children (grandchildren) between the two of them and in return the grandchildren have blessed Norma and Aubrey with 23 great-grandchildren who she loved very much!! Norma is also survived by her two sisters, Winona Hopson and Connie (Willie) Cotton and two brothers, Rodney (Corliss) Lindsay, Sr. and Scottie Lindsay. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Norma is already missed very much but the family believes in the power of Our God and we know she is at peace!
