Norma Addy

Norma Addy, 83, Paola, died November 21, 2012 at Olathe Medical Center.(cremation) Norma was born on October 20, 1929 in Lowry City, MO to Loma and Orphia Biles. She was the oldest of five children. She was married to Russell Poe until his death and then to Damon (Lee) Addy until his passing. Both were wonderful husbands and fathers. She chose to be a homemaker and stay-at-home mom. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and her favorite thing was to be with her family. Norma also enjoyed playing golf and board games with all of her friends. She had a hole-in-one on number 3 at the Paola Country Club. She is survived by her daughters Sue Thornhill of Mapleton, KS; Cindy Poe of Olathe, KS; two sons, Steve (and Jean) Poe of Decatur, IL; and Jeff (and Tammy) Poe of Louisburg, KS. Also surviving are her sister, Marcia Rainwater of Belton, MO; step-son and daughter, Roger and Linda Maisch of Blue Springs, MO; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Belton Cemetery for family and close friends. Online condolences can be left at the Share Memories tab for the family.
