Noble M. Carter

April 2, 1939 — June 13, 2024

Noble M. Carter age 85, of Lane, Kansas, went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2024, at home. Noble was born nearby Rushing, Arkansas, he was the youngest sibling of ten born to Naud and Fannie Mae Jones Carter. Noble was preceded in death by his parents and all his siblings except, brother Odell, who resides in Star City, Arkansas.

Noble was in the United States Army for three years.

Noble worked a few jobs, but his career where he retired was at GM for twenty-eight years in 1993. He loved politics and when he was right, he always stuck to his “guns”! He was not afraid to share his faith and to preach to everyone. Brenda said she never won an argument with that man! He loved people and children. He was a good dad and good husband. A hard worker. Very dedicated, and never missed work!! He seemed to overwork himself and that probably was one of the reasons the opportunities with family to do things was limited. He was such a hard worker that when he would get home from a long day at work, he would eat and go straight to farming, taking care of his cattle and then when he wasn’t doing that he would take his wagon out to the fields and so meticulous that when he was done, you would not even find one weed, as he made sure they were pulled.

Even as a dedicated worker, he never missed the boy’s games. He was dedicated and faithfully attended church with the family, including Wednesdays.

With expectations of retiring and purchasing a fishing boat, he planned to spend time with his new hobby of fishing but according to Brenda, may have been out in it twice and that was it!!!

Noble had a passion for guns.

Noble is survived by his wife Brenda Joyce Dodd Carter, of home outside of Lane, Kansas, son, Mark Anthony Carter, wife (Bev)Beverly with two grandsons, Ethan and Andrew of Lee Summit, Missouri and grandson Isaac Carter of Kansas, also, son, John Luke Carter, wife Maria Carter, granddaughter, Melana and grandson, Nathan, who resides in Overland Park, Kansas.
