Noah Michael Mann was born on Monday, February 12, 1973, in Lawrence, Kansas, the son of Ron Mann and Sherry (Covert) Van Buren. He grew up in the Kansas City area, in Grandview and Parkville, Missouri, later living in Ottawa and Lawrence, moving to Baldwin City, Kansas in 1993, where he made his home until his death on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at the age of thirty-seven years. Noah graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1991, and attended Butler County Community College and Ottawa University. For the past fifteen years, he has been employed as a driver for United Parcel Service. Noah attended New Life Church in Kansas City. He was a sports fanatic, especially enjoying K.U. He loved coaching, fishing and gardening. He was very gifted with a creative talent, from building to cooking. Noah’s boys and family meant everything to him, and he enjoyed his employment and devoted friends at UPS. On July 15, 2006, Noah was united in marriage with Melissa Johnson in Baldwin City, Kansas. She survives of their home. He is also survived by his father and stepmother, Ron and Susie Mann of N. Richland Hills, Texas; mother and stepfather, Sherry and Dub Van Buren of Basehor, Kansas; two sons, Carter and Caleb Mann; three stepsons, Caleb, Kyle and Carson Powelson; sister, Melissa Mann of Gladstone, Missouri; stepsister, Holly Briggs and stepbrother, Kyle Briggs, both of N. Richland Hills, Texas; paternal grandmother, Gloria Mann of Lawrence, Kansas; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Earline Clark, and paternal grandfather, M. E. Mann. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2010, at the Ottawa University Chapel, 1001 S. Cedar, in Ottawa, Kansas. CEMETERY: Wellsville Cemetery in Wellsville, Kansas.
