Nina Faye Yohe

Nina Faye Yohe was born on Monday, December 19, 1949, in Ottawa, Kansas. She was the daughter of Donald and Evelyn (Reeves) Elder. A lifelong resident, Nina made her home in Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas, until her death on Sunday, February 12, 2006, at the age of fifty-six years. Nina graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1967. She was a homemaker; Para-professional for U.S.D. 290; childcare provider/teacher for First Christian Church Day Care; and worked in assembly at Bendix King, all in Ottawa. She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Ottawa. Nina was an outgoing, fun person, who truly enjoyed people. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She dearly loved spending time with her family and following her grandchildren's activities. She rarely missed a ballgame. On January 1, 1968, Nina was united in marriage with Lloyd L. Yohe in Ottawa, Kansas. He survives of their home. Nina is also survived by her father and stepmother, Donald and Patsy Elder of Ottawa; mother, Evelyn Purcell of Topeka, Kansas; son, Darin Yohe of Kansas City, Missouri; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Dale Ream of Ottawa; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Katherine Yohe of Ottawa; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Sandy Elder of Wichita, Kansas; sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Monte Millick of Topeka; and twelve grandchildren, Jacob Yohe, Jeremy Yohe, Chance Yohe, Samantha Yohe, Cade Yohe, Andrew Ream, Chandler Ream, Carrington Ream, Cameron Ream, Landon Ream, Lawson Ream and Adam Ream. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2006. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Yohe at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends from 7 to 8:00 Tuesday evening. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to Multiple Sclerosis Society, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
