Nicholas D. Devin

Nicholas D. Devin, 38, of Pomona, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 2, 2018 at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Nich will lie in state after 1:00 P.M., Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the mortuary where the family will receive friends and relatives from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. that evening. Cremation will follow the service with a private family inurnment to be held later at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona. Nich was born December 8, 1979 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Norman and Linda (Peterson) Devin. He was a lifelong Franklin County resident living in Ottawa and Pomona. He attended Pomona High School with the class of 1998. Nich was united in marriage to Natalie Jo Little November 27, 1998 in Ottawa. Survivors include his wife Natalie Devin of Ottawa; father, Norman Devin of Pomona; mother, Linda Peterson of Burlington; seven children, Nolan Devin, Nathan Devin, Nicole Devin, Nicolas Devin, Noelle Devin, Nevaeh Devin, and Nevadda Devin all of the home; sister, Dana Devin of Lawrence; half-brother, Neil Gerisch of Overbrook; and nephew, Crayton Holman of Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bron and Vivian Devin; aunt, Linda Devin; and uncle, Edward Ferguson. Nich was employed as an automobile mechanic with several different companies. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working on cars, detailing cars, and above all spending time with his children.
