Neva Fae Cessnun

October 29, 1918 — August 5, 2006

Neva Fae Cessnun was born on Tuesday, October 29, 1918, in Diamond Springs, Kansas. She was the daughter of Charles and Pearl (Richardson) Abell. Neva lived in Kansas City for many years until moving to rural southeast Ottawa, in Franklin County, Kansas, in 1966, where she made her home until her death on Saturday, August 5, 2006, at the age of eighty-seven years. Neva worked for over forty years in the recording industry. She was the General Manager for Lieberman Enterprises of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Ted Turner, United Artists; and many assorted record companies. She was also employed by the Jones Store Company. Neva was a true professional in every sense of the word, as was proven in all her many business successes. She was a business woman who could have efficiently run any business. Neva had a uniquely personal relationship with her pets which included dogs, cats, and birds, and loved them dearly. She also loved every form of music, from country to rock and roll. She was an accomplished musician who loved to sing and play the guitar. She was always involved in music and wrote and published her own music in Nashville, Tennessee. On December 10, 1961, Neva was united in marriage with Archie T. Cessnun at Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on July 6, 1996. We pray God has joined Archie and Neva once again for all eternity. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Vivian Walter 'Abe' Abell; and sister, Elva Abell.
