Naomi Mae Fritts was born March 19, 1921, at Ottawa, Kansas. She was the daughter of Charles Dewey and Anna A. (Oman) Funk. A lifelong Franklin County, Kansas resident, Naomi made her home in Ottawa, until her death Saturday, January 31, 2004, at the age of eighty-two years. She attended Eugene Field Grade School, Oakland Rural Grade School and graduated from Fairview Rural Elementary School. Naomi was a lifelong homemaker. She was a member of Aerie Lodge #2700, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary. Naomi enjoyed needlepoint and making latch hook rugs. She could create almost any kind of craft and beautifully painted wooden ornaments. She also liked to read and greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. On December 24, 1939, Naomi was united in marriage with Clifford W. Fritts at Ottawa. He survives of their home. She is also survived by four sons, Charles Fritts and his wife, Shirley, of Ottawa, Richard Fritts and his wife, Judi, of Ottawa, Frank Fritts and his wife, Priscilla, of Ottawa, Clifford Lee Fritts and his friend, Steve Clemments, of Wichita, Kansas; sister, Eleanor Wells of Ottawa; six grandchildren; and, eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Willard Funk. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2004. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Pastor Terry Sue Williford IN STATE: Mrs. Fritts will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 1:00 PM Monday to the service hour where the family will meet with friends from 7:00 to 8:00 Tuesday evening. CEMETERY: Evergreen Mound Cemetery, Franklin County, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie No. 2700 Auxiliary c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
