Nancy Meadors

Nancy K Meadors found her final peace on June 26, 2013, with family and friends at her bedside. She is survived by her son, Trent Knewtson of Paola, KS, his wife Carly and their son, Kaiser, as well as her sister Becky Hewett of Topeka, KS and their aunt, Doris Jean Barrier of Parsons, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Roberta Barrier as well as her uncle Ralph Barrier. Born September 7, 1944, in Wichita, KS, Nancy lived most of her life in Kansas, graduating from Labette County Community High School in Altamont, KS and receiving her nursing degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center. She loved to travel, visiting Germany, France, Hawaii and did live for periods of time in Iowa, Texas and Louisiana. Points of pride for Nancy included the one room school house she attended in Spring Hill, KS, square dancing, cooking and being a mother.
