Nancy L. Kennedy, 73, of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017. Cremation is planned. Family will meet with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa, Kansas. Nancy was born March 10, 1944, in Falls City, Nebraska, to Leonard and Armilda (Coon) Keller. She grew up in Nebraska, moving to Ottawa in 1962 where she lived until her passing. Nancy attended Neosho County Community College in Ottawa where she received her GED. She was united in marriage in 1961 to Richard Adams. From this marriage came their daughter, Cindy. They later divorced. In 1963, Nancy married Don Keim. From this union, their son Lance was born. Don preceded her in death in 1987. She later married Terry Kennedy in 1988, where she accepted his two children, Amy and Terry Jr., as her own. He preceded her in death in 1992. From 2000 to the present, Nancy was with her long-time life-partner, Frank Spencer. He survives of the home. Survivors also include her two sons, Lance Keim and wife Connie of Baldwin City, Terry Kennedy Jr. and wife Susan of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and daughter, Amy Sanford of Ottawa; brother, Mike Keller and wife Rhonda of White Cloud; sister-in-law, Cathie Boyer of Abingdon, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Caleb and Makenzie Rodgers, Ben Sanford, Jeff Daniels and wife Amy, Sam, Grace, and Sara Kennedy; five great grandchildren, Destiny Darling, Emma and Steven Yeager, Marley Yost, and River Daniels; many beloved nieces and nephews; and beloved friend, Lexie Jones. Nancy was also preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Armilda Keller; daughter, Cindy Daniels; granddaughter, Jamie Daniels; and brother, Bill Boyer. Having grown up in the country, Nancy enjoyed spending time outdoors, where she loved to go horseback riding and fishing. Most of all, she enjoyed the time spent with her family and friends.
