Nancy C. Eckard

Nancy C. Eckard, 75, of Princeton, Kansas passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at University of Kansas Medical Center. Cremation is planned. Family will meet with friends at Dengel & Son Mortuary, 4:00 to 5:00 P.M. Monday, December 2, 2013. Nancy was born on Wednesday, June 29, 1938 in Edgerton, Kansas. She was the daughter of Ernest and Helen (Gillihand) Larrick. She lived in Princeton since 1967 moving there from Kansas City, Kansas. She graduated from Edgerton High School with the class of 1957. On February 5, 1959 Nancy was united in marriage with James William Eckard in Kansas City, Kansas. He preceded her in death on April 7, 2003. Survivors include her son, James “Scott” Eckard and his wife Vickie of Ottawa; four grandchildren, Jennille Wilt, Nikki Reyes, Dylan Eckard and Kara Eckard; eight great grandchildren; six sisters, Bonnie Ward and husband Randy of Paola, Tula Gillispie of Edgerton, Flory Curry of Edgerton, Mary Lou Leslie of Osawatomie, Jo Ann Boggs and husband Harold of Morrowville, Kansas, and Betty Hundley of Kansas City, Kansas; and sister-in-law, LaVersa Larrick of Gardner. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband; son, Daniel Wayne Eckard; daughter, Penny June Eckard; brother, Ernest Larrick; and sister, Judy Stitt. Nancy was a devoted lifelong homemaker.
