Nadine Vest age 78 of Osawatomie, passed away Feb 18 at the Olathe Hospital, Service"s Friday Feb. 22, at 2:30PM with visitation at 2PM Penwell-Gabel Chapel in Paola 305 N. To leave condolences on line go to penwellgabel.com Barbara Nadine Vest was born July 24, 1929 in Miami County Kansas to Henry and Mattie Mathia Kresin. She was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Paola High School in 1947. On November 2, 1951 she was united in marriage to Dale "Whitey" Vest in Bentonville, Arkansas. They made their home in Miami County where she was employed as a bookkeeper for 37 years at the Buchman Seed and Feed and later the Miami County Coop, retiring in 1991. Nadine was a very generous person and loved her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Diana DeVey, one sister, Deloris Whittemore, and one brother, Fred Kresin. Survivors are her husband Whitey of the home, two sisters, Rose Casida of Paola, Darleen Lantz of Topeka, one brother, Joe Kresin of Paola, and a sister-in law Dorothy Trotter of Raymore, MO..She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
