Myrtle Lee Whirley, age 76, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Friday, January 4, 2013. She was born on Thursday, February 6, 1936 in California, the daughter of John and Hazel (Bell) Jones. Myrtle was a near lifelong resident of Franklin County living in Williamsburg, Peoria, Pomona and Ottawa. Myrtle was united in marriage with Howard Cleveland Griffin, he preceded her in death. She then married Ernie Brown, they later divorced. On November 17, 1979 Myrtle married Robert Leroy Whirley in Pomona, Kansas, he preceded her in death. Myrtle was a lifelong homemaker. She attended Community Foursquare Church in Ottawa. She is survived by her: Daughter –Hazel Rice of Ottawa, Kansas Son – Earnest Lee Brown Daughter – Sara Ann Brown Son – Buster James Brown Daughter – Elizabeth Brown Son – Joseph Preston Brown Sister – Jose Harris of Ottawa Sister – Sue Wilhite of North Bend, Oregon Brother – John Jones of Oregon Brother – Alex Jones of Homewood, Kansas Brother – Joe Jones Grandchildren – Four Great-grandchildren – Three She is preceded in death by her: 1st Husband – Howard Cleveland Griffin 3rd Husband – Robert Leroy Whirley Son – Aaron Griffin Two great-grandchildren Parents – John and Hazel Jones Three Sisters – Eva Nichols, Sarah Jones, and Mary Hall Brother – Louis Aaron Jones SERVICES: Graveside Memorial Services will be held at Mt.
