Myron E. McCall, 90, Kansas City, Mo., died Friday, May 19, 2006, at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Shawnee Mission. He was born Nov. 28, 1915, at Wellsville, to William Keeling and Phoebe (Evans) McCall. He grew up in Richmond and later moved to Garnett, then Radcliffe, Va. He moved to Ottawa in 1944. He moved to Kansas City, Mo., after retiring to live with his daughter. He graduated from Ottawa High School in 1935. He worked at Keppel Farm of Ottawa and Red Logan's Electric of Garnett. He worked for Sunflower Army Ammunition in 1943 in Radcliffe. In 1944, he moved to Sunflower Army Ammunition in De Soto. He became owner and operator of McCall's Electric Motor Service in Ottawa in 1946 and retired in 1993. He also was a projectionist at Ottawa's Hillcrest Drive-In from 1961 to 1983 and at the Plaza Theatre from 1963 to 1984. He was a member of the Independent Order of Oddfellows, Ottawa. He married Maxine Slavens April 21, 1940, at Waterville. She preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Raymond McCall and Cecil Eugene McCall; a sister, Margaret Green; and a granddaughter, Shannon September Hill. Survivors include five daughters, Rosita Cheryl Criqui, Ottawa; Marilyn Virginia Sutton, Ottawa; Sylvia Roxanne Hill, Ottawa; Lynda Paige Campbell, Ottawa; and Myra Lina Fogarty, Kansas City, Mo.; a son, John Daryl McCall, Ottawa; grandsons, Ryan Curtis, Stephen Curtis, Dana Sutton, Mike Hill, Mark Hill, Matthew Hill, Scott Campbell, Geoffrey McCall and Evan McCall; granddaughters, Erin McCall, Donna Conner, Jennifer Hill, Michelle Campbell, Edith Ruckman and Andrea Fogarty; and 13 great-grandchildren. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 23, 2006. IN STATE: Mr. McCall will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 5 p.m. Sunday to the service hour where the family will meet with friends 7 to 8 Monday evening.
