Myrna Jane Teter

Myrna Jane Teter, beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. She was born on January 8, 1944, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of  Raleigh and Doris (Malcom) Reynolds.

Myrna's early education culminated in her graduation from Waverly High School in 1962. Shortly after, she began a life-long journey of love and partnership when she united in marriage with Sheldon Leroy Teter on April 6, 1962. Together, they shared many formative years until his passing in September 2017.

Professionally, Myrna dedicated fifteen years to the world of seamstress work, initially at Mode-O-Day and later at Warner's Manufacturing. Known for her meticulous craftsmanship, she brought warmth and care to every piece she created.

In addition to her professional achievements, Myrna was a woman of diverse interests. She relished in playing card games, often challenging herself with solitaire. Her love for reading opened up new worlds to her, while her passion for gardening allowed her to nurture life and beauty in her surroundings.

Myrna will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Mitze Bulmer (Kevin) of Ottawa, Kansas, Toni Teter of Parker, Kansas, and Deanna Riley of Garnett, Kansas; her sons, Rowdy Teter of Garnett, Kansas, and Michael Teter of Marysville, Kansas; and her sister, Ruth Tilton also of Garnett, Kansas. She also leaves behind several cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the light of her life.

Along with her husband Sheldon, Myrna was also preceded in death by her parents.

Though Myrna Jane Teter's presence will be profoundly missed, her legacy endures in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
