Minnie Maisch

Minnie Edna Maisch age 94 of Paola passed away Tuesday at the Olathe Medical Center. Funeral Service will be Monday March 2, at 10:30AM Block Trinity Lutheran Church, visitation Sunday from 2 to 4:00 PM at Penwell-Gabel Paola Chapel, burial Block Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Block Trinity Lutheran Endowment and or the American Heart Asscociation. To leave condolences go to Penwell-Gabel.com Minnie ws born on September 10, 1914 in the Block Community to William and Anna Koelsch Minden. She attended the Block Country School and finished the 8th grade. On February 25, 1936 Minnie was united in marriage to Walter G. Maisch in Block. Together they raised three children, and worked the family farm together. Minnie enjoyed playing cards, going to the Paola Senior Center, quilting clubs, and loved gardening. She moved to Paola from the family farm in 1987. She was a member of the Block Trinity Lutheran Church and the Ladies aid. Minnie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, Larry and Lyman Maisch, two brothers Arnold and George Minden and two sisters Irene Prothe and Emma Ohlmeier. Surviving are her son Roger and wife Linda Maisch of Blue Springs, MO., daughter, Marilyn Dempsay of Gardner Kansas, and daughter in law Sandy Maisch of Traverse City Michigan, and 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren Block Lutheran Church Block Road Service: Monday, March 02, 2009 10:30 AM Visitation: Sunday, March 01, 2009 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
