Mildred Hertha

MILDRED F. HARRIS-HERTHA Mildred Flo Hertha, 99, passed away on October 8, 2012 at Senior Care Homes in south Overland Park, Kansas. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Penwell-Gable, 305 N. Pearl, Paola, Kansas. Visitation will be from 10 " 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at the Louisburg Cemetery in Louisburg, Kansas immediately following the service. Mildred was born on April 14, 1913, the daughter of Verlin and Mary Snouffer in Miami County, Kansas. Mildred lived a long and healthy life and was a part of a large family that loved having lots of family dinners and picnics whether it was for holidays, birthdays, or just for the sake of being together and having fun. She lived the majority of her life in Kansas City, Missouri, Roeland Park, Kansas, and Louisburg, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her first husband Charles R. Harris, her second husband Samuel P. Hertha, and her brother Lester Snouffer. Survivors include her four children Robert (Judy) Harris, Mariann Reed, Jean (Dave) Holthouse, Jane (Dick) Greenfield; sisters Mary Beth Kaiser, Esther (John) Middlemass, and Eleanor Grace (Warren) Hannon; sister-in-law Etta Snouffer; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, charitable gifts may be made to an organization of your choice.
